Curled Walking Sticks

Honey Suckle Vines grow around small trees, as the tree grows the vine causes to the tree to twist and curl.  After ten or twelve years the stick can be made into a Curled Walking Stick.  The trees and vines often grow along old fence rows and in fields that are no longer being used for crops.  Lots of searching and many miles of walking are needed to find just the right sticks to make the walking sticks.

The sticks are cut in coldest days of winter and allowed to dry in the barn loft for nearly two years, before being made into Curled Walking Sticks or canes.  Each walking stick can be sized to fit each person's needs.
