People often ask "How do you get those curls in the sticks"? Honey Suckle vines grow around small trees resulting in a vine twisted stick.   The curled sticks are very difficult locate, often requiring many hours of searching.  After ten or twelve years the

stick can be made into a Curled Walking Stick or Cane.   The sticks are cut in the coldest days of winter and allowed to dry in the barn loft for nearly two years.  The stick is cut to length, sanded, and several layers of polyurethane is applied.
